Attorney Chris Cessna explains how his background and experience can help you if you've been arrested for DUI.
My name is Chris Cessna. I would like to tell you why I think you should hire me to defend your DUI case. I was a DUI police officer for ten years; I know why the police officers do what they do out there on the road. I know how to attack that and how to analyze it to help you with your case. I was also a deputy district attorney prosecuting DUI cases for a number of years in Colorado. I know why the prosecutors do what they do and I know how to attack what the prosecutors do at trial.
If the officer had you submit to standardize road side tests, or what most people think of as balance tests on the road, I can help you with that. Call us; I am actually an instructor in that area and as a DUI officer I administered those tests for ten years. I understand those tests. I understand the scientific studies that go into supporting those tests in a court of law. In fact, many attorneys hire me as an expert witness to testify for their clients in a court of law to get that evidence thrown out of court. I bring that same expertise to my clients and, in fact, many of the Colorado courts qualified me as an expert witness in this area.
I have been a DUI defense attorney for the last eight years and unlike many attorneys who take DUI cases, my practice concentrates and focuses on nothing but DUI cases, and I can help you because, if you think about this—the government has scientific evidence that they are trying to use against you. You don’t have a chance at winning your case unless you can beat that scientific evidence; evidence that consists of standardize field sobriety test evidence, breath test evidence, or blood test evidence.
